Louisiana was weird moving there.  It wasn't as social, in that people wouldn't talk to me and said I wouldn't talk to them.  I also was self-conscious I stopped growing and was no longer tall for my age.  (I am queasy about the idea of being taller than most everyone, though, if that happened.)
